And I will stand here in the white-hot heat of you doing everything you have ever wanted to be done, dancing with you to all your playlists, writing words you will not read in this lifetime (but maybe in the next), promising you only what I can keep. And on the day you decide that you deserve better, Hell will freeze over and the sun will disappear. And I will resurrect all the sad things that you currently make completely irrelevant. Because that is what our hearts need from us. Because that is what our souls have asked us to do. Because that is what must be done when you love a person like you.
